It just doesnt get any better than this.........

First class all the way from the initial contact with Castlemaine Boutique Accommodation to the day we checked out. What a fabulous property in every way. Easy walking distance to cafes, gallery, shops, restaurants and all that is on offer in Castlemaine. Once the car is parked securely downstairs, you might not need it again until you check out. Extremely well appointed, comfortable and private. I just loved that Falcon stove - cooking was a delight! In fact we booked an extra night because I didnt want to leave. If you are looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay in this part of the world, you cant go wrong with Johnstone Terrace.

Delightful Property

Felt homely from the moment we stepped in the front door. Beautifully furnished, extremely clean and comfortable, lots of space and especially enjoyed the garage car parking. Easy walk to town. Responsive hosts. Highly recommend this quality accommodation. Would stay again without hesitation.

Family friendly home base

Lloyd family(Johnstone Terrace, Castlemaine) FamilyWithYoungChildren stayed on 2021-11
Johnstone Terrace, in the heart of Castlemaine provided the perfect setting for our family of adults and baby to stay comfortably for a family wedding. The quality venue offered us space, comfort and the ability to easily self cater. Bed rooms were spacious, quiet and with 2 bathrooms for 3 bedrooms with more than enough options. Private parking is available at the rear and the team managing the property were responsive and very helpful.
Thanks so much for your kind words and taking the time to write us a review Susan. I'm so glad your family enjoyed their stay and hope to see you again soon.

Wonderful property, modern amenities, clean comfortable, and plenty of space. Had a high chair ready to go for our baby. Very gracious and kind hosts who really went out of their way to help. Great location as well, a very quick walk to the town centre. Brilliant place to stay - would not hesitate to recommend!

Terrific Terrace, Castlemaine

Fantastic stay at Johnstone Terrace, Castlemaine the villa has a great configuration suited our 92 year old mother perfectly she had her own private bedroom and bathroom no stairs for her to deal with, villa has great communal spaces with lovely terrace, beds are extremely comfortable and Donna who manages terrace is very accessible and great communicator, highly recommend experience will certainly stay here again. Danny(Johnstone and Berkely Houses) Group stayed on 2018-12
Had family from overseas stay at Johnstone and Berkely Houses for my wedding in Castlemaine. Everyone felt very comfortable as there was plenty of space to sit and socialise and, most importantly, get ready for the ceremony and reception. Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable. I would recommended staying here.

Donna was extremely helpful. We needed some help with the bed configuration for six woman. So clean, great beds and perfect bathrooms. Thanks Donna

Helen Dixon(Geelong) WithDisabled stayed on 2018-10
Booking process very easy. Donna was able to answer my questions. Check in and departure was straightforward. Access for disabled was satisfactory from front door. Neither bathroom was built for the disabled - no grab rails, small lip on shower base. Ensuite bathroom would not cope with a wheelchair, but the other bathroom was more spacious. For me, using a wheelie walker, I managed to be able to use shower, but for someone with more specific needs, it would be unsuitable. Kitchen appliances were of exceptionable standard. Furniture comfortable and back decking very pleasant. We travelled with another couple and each having our own bathroom and bedroom was excellent. There was a 3rd bedroom which we didn't use - so could accomodate still another couple (or children) No TV in any of the bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we didn't have to use our car to go into town or to go out for a meal. (main street about 600 meters) Recommended.

This was by far the best hotel i have stayed at. The hydronic heating kept the place warm throughout the freezing weather. You could tell they had spared no expense when building this place by vacuum system that you can just brush into with your foot for kitchen spills. It has its own courtyard and a back yard that looks onto blossoming cherry trees and a nature reserve filled the calls of native frogs. I have stayed in very expensive hotels before and nothing comes even close to this

Excellent place to stay.

This property was perfect for us, but I would also recommend it for a family as it was spacious and well appointed. The pool was very inviting but too cold to use during our stay. The only recommendation would be a nice lamp in the lounge room or a dimmer switch so you could enjoy the ambience of the lovely log fire. Great place to stay.

Baeutiful stay & wonderful hosts!

The location of the Printz Townhouse for myself & two teenage companions to get around easily to all the wonderful local eateries & within 30 minutes drive to Bendigo & Daylesford. Printz was large enough for us all to have our own space & exceptionally quite & sound proof. Our hots were also incredibly helpful & accommodating. We will see you next time, Susan

Very well presented and comfortable

Great family accommodation

Stayz Guest() NotSpecified stayed on 2015-04
Printz apartment was exactly what we'd hoped. A spacious townhouse, with bedrooms separate from living area. Well-heated with balcony overlooking beautiful trees (that had spectacular autumn colours). Train close & noisy, but not a problem. Good linen/ beds. Kitchen was good, though we found the oven quite small. Easy walk to shops. Overall, excellent accomodation for our family.

Fabulous and comfortable, beautiful property.

The townhouse that we stayed in was was an excellent choice for a family. Three double bedrooms, living space with a great fireplace and under cover parking. We had one small issue that was resolved by the guys quickly and courteously. I would definitely recommend staying in this place is was beautifully presented and had everything that we needed for our weekend.

Comfortable and cosy

We enjoyed our weekend in Castlemaine and the accommodation was lovely. The house was spacious and well appointed. The central heating kept us warm and the gas log fire was an added bonus . It was located within walking distance of the main street. The kitchen was well appointed and there were plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery so we only had to use the dishwasher once. The only additional suggestion could be some cards/boardgames.

fabulous terrace house

Family getaway

Anna L() NotSpecified stayed on 2018-01
We were looking for a quiet little family getaway before the craziness of 2018 began and we were not disappointed by our find in Castlemaine! The house was lovely, comfortable and Rod and Donna were the perfect hosts. Always quick to respomd to any queries and help with any issues, couldn't have asked for more. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean- felt just like home away from home. Even our 3yr old slept in her own room all night, 3 nighrs, without any issues (and loved the adventure of it!) I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

Great Townhouse and very comfirtable stay.

Great house - beautifully presented

Susan F() NotSpecified stayed on 2018-08
House was better than anticipated from photos and description. Loved the layout and the 2 bathrooms was an additional treat. It was warm and cosy and offered off-street parking. Close to town centre and easy to find. Everything possible was provided and we loved the gas log fire in the lounge. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would recommend it to others without hesitation

Great place to stay

Johnstone Terrace is wonderfully clean and warm accommodation and just a short walk to the main street. The beds are very comfortable and the great facilities make it feel like 'home away from home'. Donna was very easy to deal with and quickly responded to my queries during the booking process. A wonder experience overall!

A great house with all amenities required. Easy directions and key pick up. The house was clean and comfortable and warm with access to a gorgeous garden. A nice big bath tub in the main bathroom. Close enough to walk to the shops. The front bedroom could be noisy, being on a main road and close to the train line! A great house for adult groups.

Another short stay at Johnstone Terrace and another enjoyable & comfortable stay The apartment is great and our local family who visit are always amazed about how good it is. Since our last stay one of our daughters has now relocated to Castlemaine. One of our sons and his family also live in Castlemaine and it is a lovely area.. Outside the weather was bleak but inside the hydronic heating kept us warm and cosy 24 hours a day. The kitchen is great with all of the facilities for a quiet meal or a family gathering. The only thing that we found missing was pods for the coffee machine. Thank you and we will definitely return
Hi John and thank you for your kind words. I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back. Also, sorry about the coffee pods! We'll make sure we're fully stocked next time. Thanks again. Warm regards, Donna
